Salinas, Spain, offers the most consistent and favorable surfing conditions from October through February, with peak months being December, January, and February. During this period, ground swell dominates (73-84% of the time), providing powerful, well-organized waves with an average swell size of 1.8-2.0 meters. Wind conditions are challenging year-round, but these months still offer the highest likelihood of good offshore winds (32-37% of days) compared to the rest of the year. March and November also deliver solid ground swell (73-75%) but with slightly smaller waves (1.7-1.8 meters) and similar wind variability. From April to September, conditions deteriorate significantly, with a sharp decline in ground swell (17-58%) and a higher reliance on wind swell, which often produces choppier, less ideal waves. Swell size drops to 1.0-1.4 meters, and wind conditions worsen, with bad onshore winds occurring 63-77% of the time. Summer months (June-August) are the least favorable, featuring small, weak swells and persistent poor winds. For surfers prioritizing quality waves, the winter months are the clear choice, while spring and summer are better suited for beginners or those willing to compromise on conditions.
