Serapo, Italy, offers surfable conditions year-round, but the best months for consistent waves and favorable winds are typically November through February. During these winter months, ground swell and wind swell probabilities increase, with ground swell peaking around 22-23% in January and December and wind swell reaching 39-43%. The mean swell size also reaches its highest values (1.1-1.3m), offering better-quality waves compared to the rest of the year. However, wind conditions remain challenging, with bad winds (onshore or cross-shore) dominating 88-90% of the time, but occasional clean days provide worthwhile sessions. From March to October, conditions deteriorate significantly, with ground swell dropping below 20% and swell size shrinking to 0.6-0.9m. Summer months (June-August) are particularly flat, with over 60% no-swell days and the worst wind conditions (over 90% unfavorable). Despite the lower consistency, late autumn and early winter (November-December) present the best compromise between swell potential and slightly improved wind conditions, making them the prime time for surfers willing to wait for the right day. Spring and summer are generally only suitable for beginners or those looking for very small, mellow waves.
