Zipolite, Mexico, offers consistent surf conditions year-round, with a dominant ground swell that rarely drops below 90% in any month. The best months for surfing here are typically from November to April, when the swell remains strong yet manageable, averaging between 1.0m and 1.3m. During this period, ground swell percentages are at their highest (94-100%), ensuring reliable wave energy, while wind conditions improve significantly—particularly in November, December, and January, when favorable winds occur around 60% of the time. Swell size peaks from May to September, with averages between 1.5m and 1.6m, but these months also bring less ideal winds, as onshore or cross-shore conditions prevail over 50% of the time. March and April offer slightly larger swells (1.2m-1.3m) but with wind conditions becoming more variable. October marks a transition month, with improving winds (53% good) and a still-respectable 1.4m swell. While Zipolite rarely has flat spells (no swell is nearly 0% all year), the optimal balance of wave quality and wind alignment occurs in the winter and early spring months, making November through February the prime window for surfers seeking the most consistent, cleanest conditions.
