Best Surf Season (October - March)

The Atlantic storm track is in full swing from October through March, and Les Culs Nuls reaps the rewards. This west-facing stretch of coast is ideally oriented for the WNW and NW groundswells that roll out of the North Atlantic, with average wave heights sitting in the 4-6ft (1.2-1.8m) range and periods frequently pushing past 12 seconds. These are the months when the beach turns from a summer grovel to a genuine hollow, powerful break. The wildcard is wind: winter lows bring the swell but often spoil it with westerly onshores.
