January is a solid, workmanlike month at Ciruelo. The direction chart shows a healthy blend: N, NNE and NNW energy combines for roughly 55% of the total, while the favored WSW-SW-SSW window contributes about 26%. This means the optimum swell at Ciruelo is present, but not always dominant.

Wind-wise, January is one of the cleanest months of the winter.
