Best Surf Season (September - October)

The annual swell clock at Majestics is controlled by the clash between the northeast and southwest monsoons. From September into October, the southwest monsoon is still strong enough to deliver offshore S/SW airflow, while the first pulses of longer-period NE and ENE swell are already arriving from typhoon remnants and low-pressure systems in the Pacific. This is the finest average window of the year, although that is a relative statement at a spot that is destined to be wind-affected much of the time. Average wave heights climb to 3-4.5ft (1.0-1.4m), periods reach 9.3-9.6s, and the beach still sees 18-47% ideal wind; when a tropical low or frontal boundary aligns, Majestics can offer clean, punchy overhead waves on a glassy face.

Fair Surf Season (May - August)

The southwest monsoon dominates the Philippine summer. Offshore S/SW winds become common, with ideal wind percentages of 36-53%, but the swell window is starved of size and direction. Wave heights drop to around 3ft (0.9m), periods sit near 8.0-8.8s, and most of the energy comes from E/ENE directions that are too angled or shadowed for this NNE-facing stretch. It is a longboard-friendly, playful season where clean groveling waves are more likely than powerful walls, and occasional typhoon tracks can inject unexpected pulses from the south and southwest.

Low Surf Season (November - April)

Once the northeast monsoon locks in, Majestics sees the biggest swell of the year, but it is frequently ruined by the same N/NE wind that generates it. Between November and April average wave heights run 4.3-6.9ft (1.3-2.1m) and periods are in the punchy 8.8-9.5s range, yet ideal wind is only 2-9% of the time. Most days are cross-shore to onshore from the NE/ENE quadrant, so the lineup turns lumpy and sectiony. The rare clean window is pure gold, but winter is generally a season of frustration for surfers looking for quality at Majestics.
