Best Surf Season (October - March)

La Santa Isquierda is a winter-led break. As the North Atlantic storm track accelerates through autumn and winter, long-period northwesterly swell lights up the NW-facing point on a consistent basis. October sees the first meaningful pulse of energy, but it is December through March when the average swell sits at 5-6ft (1.6-1.7m) and periods regularly reach 12s or more. During this window, the synoptic pattern over Europe frequently slips south, allowing spells of S-SW offshore flow to groom the faces between Atlantic frontal passages. The mix of power and clean offshore wind gives you the classic left-hander on its best behavior.
