The best months for surfers are typically from June through December, when windswell activity increases and swell size is more favorable. August and December stand out with the largest mean swell sizes (1.3m and 1.5m, respectively), making them prime months for bigger, more consistent waves. September and October also offer decent conditions, with slightly higher chances of good wind conditions (37% and 34%, respectively), reducing onshore interference. However, strong winds are still a challenge, with bad wind conditions persisting above 60% even in the best months. Early in the year (January to May), the surf drops significantly, with weaker swells (0.6m-1.0m) and a higher likelihood of no swell days, particularly in April and May.
