Boulevard seasonal overview
Boulevard in the Philippines is a surf spot heavily influenced by wind swells, with ground swells playing a secondary role. The best months for surfers are generally from August to October, when ground swell contributions peak (22-32%) and wind conditions improve significantly. During these months, offshore winds (good wind conditions) occur 27-38% of the time, though onshore winds (bad conditions) still dominate (62-73%). Swell size averages around 0.5-0.9m, making it ideal for intermediate surfers. The worst months are January to April, when ground swells are low (9-17%) and bad wind conditions prevail (95-98%), with slightly larger but messy swells (1.0-1.6m). May to July sees a gradual improvement in wind conditions (10-27% good winds) but smaller, less consistent swells (0.5-0.7m). November and December mark a transition back to unfavorable winds (89-94% bad conditions) despite decent ground swell presence (20-21%). Overall, late summer and early autumn (August-October) offer the most balanced conditions, while winter and early spring are challenging due to strong onshore winds and inconsistent swell quality.
