Summer is the quietest period for Il Bunker. The Mediterranean high-pressure system dominates, suppressing storm activity and producing weak, short-period windswell from the south and southwest. Average swell heights drop to 0.5-0.6m with periods around 4s – too small for real surfing. Offshore wind opportunities are scarce (8-12% of the time), and the prevailing sea breezes often create choppy, messy conditions. December delivers the highest average swell height of the year at 1.0m and a period of 5.2s. Swell is plentiful from SW (12.8%), WSW (11.2%), and SSE (10.8%). The distribution shows a healthy spread of sizes: 30% of waves are 0.5-1m, and 13% are 1-1.5m, with some sets pushing 2m. Ideal wind is 20%, with NNE (15.5%) and NE (14.9%) dominating the offshore quadrant.
