From June through September, the percentage of ideal offshore wind drops to just 45-48%. Instead, onshore and side-on winds from the S and SW quadrants dominate, especially during the afternoon sea breeze cycle. This combination ruins the wave quality, leading to choppy, blown-out conditions. While there are occasional windows of clean surf – usually early in the morning when land breezes prevail – the overall consistency is poor. This is the low season for serious surf sessions.

February: Consistent and Clean

February mirrors January closely, with a 63% ideal wind frequency and an average swell height of 1.4m at 13.8s. Swell direction remains heavily weighted towards W (38.7%) and WNW (41.5%). The key difference is a slight uptick in WSW swell (12.0%) and SW (3.2%), offering a bit more direct angle.
