Senoritas seasonal overview

Senoritas in Peru is a consistent surf spot with strong ground swells dominating year-round, making it a reliable destination for surfers. The best months for optimal conditions are typically from February to July, when swell size increases and reaches its peak. February and March offer a good balance with mean swell sizes around 1.5m to 1.6m, though wind conditions remain unfavorable most of the time (85-89% bad winds). From April onward, the swell grows larger, averaging 1.8m to 2.0m through July, providing powerful and clean waves for experienced surfers. However, wind conditions worsen in these months, with bad winds exceeding 97% of the time, often leading to onshore or cross-shore winds that can make sessions challenging. The winter months (June-August) bring the biggest waves, averaging 2.0m, but wind conditions are almost always poor. The shoulder months like January and December have slightly smaller swells (1.4m) but marginally better wind chances (11% and 4% good wind days, respectively). Overall, while Senoritas has nearly year-round swell consistency, surfers should prioritize the larger swell months and be prepared for frequent poor winds, making early mornings or sheltered sections more favorable. The peak season for ideal surf conditions is limited, but dedicated surfers can still score quality waves outside the windiest periods.
