Ideal wind percentages hover around 12-22%, but the wind speed often exceeds 20-30kph, making for lumpy, challenging surf. The swell direction, predominantly from the south, doesn't align well with Tiruchendur's east-southeast orientation, resulting in less organized, more wind-affected waves. While the rare combination of a west wind and a southeast swell can produce a few clean, powerful sets, this is the least reliable period for quality surfing.
