From May through August, average swell heights sit around 5-6ft (1.5-1.8m), average periods push past 9 seconds, and post-frontal W/NW flow is at its most frequent. The S/SSE/SE groundswells are firmer and more organized, and the offshore windows are long enough to make the beach genuinely good. This is the core of the year for surfers.
