Average wave heights climb to 1.9-2.2m (6-7.2ft) and periods stretch into the 14-second range, delivering powerful, long-period energy from the S/SSW/SW - exactly the directions this beach needs. The wind also shifts from the winter muck to a consistent ESE/SE trade flow, which for this SW-facing shore is a clean, cross-shore breeze that keeps the faces open. This is the window where Canggu sees its most consistent combination of size and quality, making it the prime season for surfers wanting reliable, rippable waves.
