The wind is ideal over 30-40% of the time, thanks to the strong influence of the Asian monsoon bringing winds from the north and northwest quadrants. This is the prime window for clean, lined-up surf at this south-facing reef.
Fair Surf Season (April, May, October, November)
These transitional months offer a mixed bag. April and May see a ramp-up in swell energy as the Southern Ocean storms start firing, but the wind becomes more unpredictable.
