Best Surf Season (December - February)

Sidi R'bat is a completely different animal in the heart of winter. The North Atlantic storm track is fully engaged, and long-period groundswell from the W, WNW and NW lights up this west-northwest-facing beach with 6-7ft (2.0-2.1m) of raw, powerful swell. Periods hover in the 12.9-13.2s range, meaning deep-water energy arrives with serious punch. Just as important, the offshore easterly flow - ENE, E, ESE and SE - blows 37-51 percent of the time. That is the million-dollar ingredient that keeps the faces clean and hollow. If you time a winter swell with one of these offshore lines, Sidi R'bat is firing.
