The monsoon transition is the golden time at Tuason Point. As the Southwest Monsoon yields to the Northeast Monsoon, the percentage of offshore W-NW wind days peaks at 33-38% and tropical cyclone activity in the West Pacific feeds the coast with longer-period NNE-NE groundswell. Swell heights may only average 2.5-3.5ft (0.7-1.1m), but the clean glassy conditions and occasional 4-6ft (1.2-1.8m) pulses from passing typhoons make these months the most consistent for quality surf.
