Odeceixe is a sleepy, sandy beach break tucked into the rugged Algarve coast, just a short walk from the town’s bohemian streets. Consistent as the tide, Odeceixe hums along with a mellow pulse, often deserted even when other spots are crowded. Best Surf Season (October - March)

Odeceixe is a pure winter and early-season wave. From October through March, the North Atlantic storm track focuses its energy on the Iberian Peninsula, and this west-northwest-facing beach lines up beautifully with the dominant NW and WNW ground swells. Average wave heights run 2.2-2.5m (7-8ft), with periods in the powerful 12-13s range, and the easterly offshore wind window (ENE through SE) is at its most reliable. December and January are the standout months, when solid, long-period swell coincides with the highest percentage of clean offshore wind.
