The catch is that the percentage of ideal offshore wind (N, NNE, NW, NNW) falls to between 41% and 50%, and you'll see more spells of lighter cross-shore or even onshore breezes from the SSW and SW. Still, the sheer volume of south swell – especially from the SSW – means that even on less-than-perfect wind days, there's still a fun, rippable wave to be had. November: The Best Wind of the Year

November offers the highest percentage of ideal wind at 62%, paired with an average swell height of 1.5m and a period of 12.1s. The swell mix includes a healthy dose of NE (9.5%) and ENE (11.8%), but the bread and butter is still SSW (30.3%) and S (22.0%) – both in the fun 1-1.5m and 1.5-2m ranges.
