Ideal offshore winds occur only 20-21% of the time, and when they do, the waves are usually small and weak. The Mediterranean influence and high pressure aloft suppress storm activity. November: Prime Time Arrives

November solidifies the prime season. Average swell height is 1.3m with a period of 10.0s, but the distribution shows a healthy spread of larger waves. The dominant swell directions are WNW (33.8%) and W (16.2%), with a significant percentage in the 1.5-2m range. Ideal wind conditions reach 35%, the highest since winter, with easterlies (E 8.8%, ESE 12.4%) and also some north-northeast flows offering offshore options.
