Fair Surf Season (March - April & October - November)

The southwest monsoon takes full control, unleashing powerful, consistent groundswell from the Southern Ocean. Wave heights average a solid 1.4-1.5m with long periods of 11-12 seconds, often producing pumping, heavy surf. However, the wind blows relentlessly from the west and southwest—directly onshore or side-shore—making for choppy, bumpy surfaces. Surfable waves exist for the persistent, but clean, quality sessions are rare and fleeting during these months.

The southwest monsoon is in full swing, bringing consistent swell from the SSW, SW, and WSW that averages 1.4m with an 11.0-second period—solid and pumping. Unfortunately, ideal offshore wind plummets to a mere 3%. The prevailing wind is strong from the SW and W, creating choppy, messy conditions. Surfable waves are there in abundance, but you'll be fighting wind texture. Look for brief cleanups near dawn or when a passing trough shifts the breeze.
