Spring and early fall serve as transitional windows where quality surf is possible but less consistent. The percentage of ideal wind also falls to 20-21%, though periods of southerly flow still clean up the waves. January sits at the apex of the North Atlantic storm season. With an average swell height of 3.3m and a period of 12.7s, these are the most powerful waves of the year.
