Playas del Este in Cuba is predominantly a windswell-driven spot, with no significant ground swell observed throughout the year. The best months for surfers are November through February, when wind swell percentages are highest (75-80%), and mean swell sizes peak at around 0.9-1.0m. These months offer the most consistent rideable waves despite the fact that good wind conditions remain rare (only 6-8% of the time). Offshore winds are infrequent year-round, but late autumn and winter see slightly better wind alignment compared to other seasons. The summer months (May-September) are the least favorable due to low wind swell activity (35-45%) and smaller swell sizes (0.4-0.6m), making for mostly flat or weak conditions. April and October serve as transitional months with moderate swell energy (0.7-0.8m).
