July: Consistent Power, Fickle Winds

The 1.5-2m range remains dominant at 42.6%, and the 2-2.5m category grows to 5.4%. This is the heart of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and the storm track is relentless. However, the wind situation is no better than June: only 44% of the time are offshore winds present. The wind rose shows an extreme concentration of wind from the SSW (35.7%) and SW (31.6%), with a high frequency of speeds in the 10-30 kph range.
