Fair Surf Season (April & September)

April sees the last of the winter power—average swell height remains a solid 2.1m but the period drops to 10.8s and ideal wind percentages fall sharply to 19%. The dominant swell direction shifts strongly towards NNW, which is still a good angle for Tamri, but the wind becomes increasingly dominated by N-NW flow, making clean conditions rarer. September brings a slight rebound in period (10.0s) after the summer lull, but swell heights average just 1.6m. Ideal wind percentages climb to 18%, offering occasional windows of fun, rippable waves on the smaller side. These months are for the dedicated surfer willing to pick their days.

Low Surf Season (May - August)

From May through August, Tamri experiences its lowest surf activity. The North Atlantic storm track shifts north, resulting in average swell heights between 1.6 and 1.9m and periods as low as 7.6 to 9.3 seconds—generally small, groveling conditions. The wind pattern is dominated by strong N to NNW flow, which blows directly onshore at Tamri, ruining wave quality. Ideal offshore wind (from the SW sector) occurs only 8-13% of the time.
