The North Atlantic reawakens in October. Average swell height reaches 1.8m with period 11.4s. NW (38.0%) and WNW (17.7%) swells regain dominance, fueled by deepening low-pressure systems. Ideal wind is 26%, often from NE to SE as high pressure builds. These patterns produce some of the best early-season swells, with long-period WNW groundswells and clean easterly winds. The combination of moderate size and excellent conditions makes October a favorite.
