The wind prevents these waves from reaching their potential. Ideal offshore flow is just 25 percent, and the westerly onshore regime piles up: WSW 20.3 percent, SW 16.2 percent, W 11.4 percent, and SSW 9 percent. Air temperatures peak at 24.1°C, precipitation is only 0.04 mm/day, and water is warm at 17.3°C. It is total summer. With a decent Southern-Hemisphere swell and a dawn-patrol glass-off, the inside bowls can still be fun on a log or groveler, but expect westerly wind by mid-morning.
