June turns the corner into the heart of the green season, and Ollie's Point is pumping on consistency if not on size. Average swell height is a solid 4.3ft (1.3m), average wave period remains long at 13.4s, and the S/SSW/SW directional combination accounts for around 75 percent of the swell energy - SSW at 33.1 percent, SW at 33.3 percent, and S at 8.2 percent. Wave heights are concentrated in the fun 3-5ft (0.9-1.5m) range; 24.3 percent of all swell comes from SSW at that size and 26.2 percent from SW. The wind story is even better: ideal conditions rise to 61 percent, with NE trades continuing to weaken and more frequent intervals of light offshore N to NW flow. Wet-season weather is in full swing with 6.10 mm/day of rainfall and 29.0°C water, so sessions are often punctuated by passing tropical downpours. But the ocean is full of long, clean, southern hemi groundswell - exactly what this point wants.
