The wind is the real culprit here: from June through August, the dominant north-northwest wind blows directly onshore over 60% of the time, with ideal wind percentages plummeting to 11-18%. July is the worst month, with an average height of just 1.5m and a period of 8.6s—groveling territory. The swell that does arrive is mostly windswell from the NNW, which lines up okay but lacks the power to overcome the onshore breeze.
