Best Surf Season (November - March)

The winter months bring the most reliable offshore winds to Bucerias, with ideal conditions occurring upwards of 80% of the time. While the dominant swell shifts to a more westerly and northwesterly direction, the long-period nature of these swells (averaging 13-14 seconds) ensures plenty of power. The wave heights typically range from fun 0.5m to solid 1.5m, offering clean, groomed lines for your longboard or hybrid. October is a transition month where the wind starts to improve while the swell direction remains favorable. Ideal wind percentage rises to 73%, offering more clean days. Swell is still predominantly from the southwest and west-southwest, providing direct energy. The average wave height is 1.0m with a long period of 13.5s. The North Pacific winter storm track begins to awaken, contributing to the swell mix. This is an excellent month for those looking for consistent, clean, fun waves without the crowds of winter.
