Winds are light and spread across all directions, with southerly and westerly flows providing offshore conditions for the NE swell. August is a reliable month for fun, clean waves. The swell may not be huge, but it's consistent and often groomed by favorable winds. Tropical activity in the Atlantic can send infrequent but powerful long-period swell that breaks the pattern, offering a chance at overhead waves with offshore wind.
