Best Surf Season (August - October)

As summer transitions into autumn, First Point hits its stride. The North Pacific high-pressure system settles in and the wave window shifts into the south/south-southwest quadrant, which lines up perfectly with the SSE-facing beach. Mean swell heights hover around 0.7-0.8m (2.5ft), but periods stay in the 12.5-13s range, meaning plenty of long-period, rideable lines. Ideal offshore winds occur 45-54% of the time, often thanks to early-morning north-northeast drainage flow before the sea breeze kicks in. This is the most consistent combination of swell angle and clean surface conditions all year.
