Best Surf Season (October - March)

At Off-The-Wall, the North Pacific sets the rhythm. The best surf of the year arrives between October and March, when a deep Aleutian Low and a strengthening North Pacific storm track drive long-period NNW and NW groundswells into the northwest-facing beach. Average wave heights peak at 8-9ft (2.4-2.7m) in December and January, with swell periods pushing into the powerful 12-second range. The wind regime cooperates more often too; E, ESE, SE and SSE winds blow offshore and groom the faces, leaving clean, rippable surf. This is when Off-The-Wall lives up to its name.
