Camacho is a classic South Atlantic set-up, and its most consistent months line up with the autumn and early-winter storm track. From April through July, cold fronts migrating out of the South Pacific and across Argentina regularly ignite S and SSW groundswell, with average wave heights holding in the 5.5-6ft (1.7-1.8m) range and periods climbing to 9.4-9.8s. The wind regime also tilts more offshore: N/NNE breezes blow clean for 31-36% of the time, keeping the SSE-facing sandbars groomed. This is the window to book a trip.
