Best Surf Season (November - February)

Jelly's Point is a north-facing setup, so its most consistent surf arrives with the winter Northeast Monsoon. From November through February, the Siberian high pumps cool, dry air southeast across the South China Sea, generating a constant ENE/NE sea and swell. The average wave height climbs to 4ft (1.2m) or more, periods run 9-10s, and occasional N/NNE or NW/NNW groundswell can push in. True quality, however, depends on those windows when the wind swings offshore from S/SSW/SW; such days are limited (18-28% of the time), but they are the reason to pull the trigger. This is the spot's best chance for solid, rippable surf.
