Best Surf Season (October - March)

Conil is a winter spot. As the North Atlantic storm track gears up between October and March, the Gulf of Cadiz receives consistent, long-period swells from the WNW and W with average wave heights of 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) and periods in the 9.4-11.7s range. The dominant WNW/W swells wrap into the west-southwest-facing beach with real power, while Levante winds from the ENE/E keep many days clean and offshore. The combination of solid Atlantic groundswell and favourable east-northeast winds makes this the prime window for the best, most rippable surf of the year.
