The swell mix shifts toward shorter-period E and NE windswell, averaging 1.5-1.6m and periods around 8.3-8.8s. While it’s not firing, early mornings can still deliver fun, groveling waves before the onshores kick in. July maintains the winter momentum with the highest offshore wind percentage of the year at 41%. Average wave height dips slightly to 1.7m, but the period remains a strong 9.5s. The swell mix continues to be dominated by SSE (16.9%), S (15%), and SE (11.3%), with an increase in SSW (7.1%) and SW (4.1%) swells – a sign that more southerly tracks are in play.
