When a tropical wave or a rare cold front shifts the wind north, the payoff can be epic, as those long-period SSW and SW swells become glassy and powerful. But you need to be ready to drop everything and go. September and October are strictly for the die-hards who love a challenge and are willing to hunt for the fleeting clean moments.

February: Consistency Continues

February maintains the momentum of the prime season, though with a slight dip in wind reliability to 55%. The NNE wind remains the dominant player (over 49% of observations), often blowing at a brisk 10-30 kph that grooms the swell perfectly. The swell mix is nearly identical to January, with the SSW direction accounting for 46.7% of the energy and heights clustering around 1-1.5m.
