Today's Surf Conditions at The Streets
Best Surf Season & Climatology
Best Surf Season (November - February)
The winter half of the year is the most reliable window at The Streets, even though 'reliable' is a relative term along this east-facing stretch of coast. Average surf heights hover around 0.9-1.0m (3-3.3ft), with average periods in the 7.4-8.1s range. This is when the NO-ONO-O-OSO swell window, which translates to NE-ENE-E-ESE, is most active, feeding the beach with the most consistent lines. The ideal surfing wind score also peaks around 15-16% during December, January and February, as passing cold fronts introduce more SW-W-WNW offshore flow. It won't be firing every day, but the chances of scoring clean, rideable 2-4ft waves are better than at any other time of year.
