Summer at Porth Neigwl is a mixed bag—small and often messy. The wind pattern becomes the main spoiler: onshore breezes from the SW and W dominate, and the proportion of offshore winds plummets to 15-18%. This means many days are blown out or choppy. However, occasional pulses of longer-period swell from a distant storm can still light up the beach, especially if a ridge of high pressure provides light easterly winds.
