Summer is the quietest time for surf. Average wave heights drop to 0.7-0.8m with short periods around 8-8.6s, resulting in small, weak surf. The dominant swell comes from the NW and NNW but lacks the power to wrap effectively. Offshore wind percentages are the lowest of the year (27-30%), and the reliable northwesterly winds often have a cross-shore component. Expect small, fun-sized days suitable for longboards or soft tops, but don't expect pumping surf. Early mornings offer the best chance for clean conditions before the sea breeze kicks in.

November: Deep Stabilization

November continues the prime season with an average swell height of 1.2m and period of 11.6s – consistent power. The swell is again dominated by WNW (27.8%) and NW (27.4%), but direct S-SW-WSW swell accounts for a solid 12.5% – the highest percentage of the year for that quadrant. Offshore wind frequency holds at 39%, with N (11.2%), NNE (7.2%), and NNW (13.7%) remaining strong. The wind regime becomes more N-NE dominant, which is perfect for this spot. The period is squarely in the powerful range, meaning well-refracted waves with plenty of shape. Swell heights spread nicely: 28% 0.5-1m, 31% 1-1.5m, 28% 1.5-2m+ – lots of fun sized to pumping conditions. Late-autumn storms tracking from the northwest to the Bay of Biscay consistently send swell trains, while high pressure over Europe provides clean offshore flow.
